This infused recipe for cookie bars is, well, our JAM. Made easily with your favorite preserves, this cookie bar recipe may become your new favorite dessert, infused or not! (We vote infused though, obviously.)
Flavoring these cookie bars is easy: just choose (or make!) your favorite jam.
Basic jam is next-level easy to make, so if you have some time plus fresh fruit, sugar, salt, and lemon juice, you can follow Martha Stewart's recipe and go fully custom with it. Otherwise, jar your favorite jar and let's get baking.
First, a word on dosing. Nobody likes an unintentional flatliner.
A note about dosing:
Be mindful of your dosage when using THC or CBD.
A standard dose of THC in an edible is 5-10 mg, so calculate accordingly. Click here for information about dosing and potency.
Start with a low dose and wait at least an hour before slowly consuming more, as the effects of ingested cannabis can take longer to kick in and can affect people differently.
The keys to perfect THC-infused cookie bars:
The art of making the perfect cookie bars is all about getting the right balance between the potency of the THC-infused Canna Butter or THC Oil and the amount that you use in your recipe. This requires some math and careful measurement, but don't worry; we'll break it down for you!
First, consider the potency of your cannabis. Knowing the percentage of THC in your cannabis is key to calculating the potency of your infusion and the amount you should use in your recipe.
You first will need to decarboxylate the cannabis by heating it at a low temperature to activate the THC. Then, the cannabis is ready to infuse into butter or oil, and you will be ready to bake a delicious batch of Cookie Bars or Weed Brownies (or anything else).
How to Make Canna Butter
Making cannabutter is a fundamental technique for creating a wide range of cannabis-infused delights.
By following the simple instructions, in our Canna Butter recipe, you can activate the THC compounds in your cannabis flower and incorporate them into butter, unlocking their full potential!

Want to make this cookie bar recipe vegan instead?
You can totally do that! Since this recipe for cookie bars doesn't use eggs, we're really just swapping out for the butter. As a general rule, you can substitute 75% of the butter in a recipe with olive oil.
In other words: If a baking recipe calls for 8 tablespoons of butter, for example, you would use 6 tablespoons of olive oil. However - you'll still want to calculate dosing correctly. To make these cookie bars with oil, we recommend using 2 tablespoon of infused THC oil in place of the canna butter, and 9 tablespoon of olive oil or other neutral oil in place of the ¾ cup of butter the recipe calls for.
You'll also want to make sure your jam or preserves are vegan too - most are.
